The Spindrift Grand Banks Dory Rowboat
The common straight-sided Fisherman Dory, also known as the Grand Banks Dory, is an old favourite. It is an excellent rowing boat for lakes and rivers. It makes a fine fishing platform because of its shallow draught and stability. It can be beached easily with its flat bottom. Built completely by hand, she is an attractive boat, rows easily and is very stable. The Spindrift Grand Banks Dory is a five-plank design that gives a fine traditional look to be proud of.
The Spindrift Tender 10′ 5″ with 48″ Beam Rowboat
This tender has generous freeboard which makes her a very safe and dry boat with a 48″ beam and full keel. This Spindrift Tender is designed as a cargo carrier and is a small scale version of the elegant 14′ Spindrift Whitehall. She is an easy boat to row and tracks well. She will carry four easily so long as properly trimmed as with any boat.

This dinghy was originally built during the 1930’s on Shack Island here in Nanaimo.

The Spindrift Peapod Rowboat is a hand built seven-plank design in lapstrake that sets its lines off nicely. She has good handling characteristics and carrying capacity. The boat is fun and fast under oar and has two rowing positions. She handles well in all conditions, being very stable in choppy waters. The boat is roomy enough for two rowers and 3 passengers and gear. It is fun under sail, is safe for the beginner and handles well in all winds.
